People who need a lot of stuff. More money I get that up to a certain point, 'cause it makes the day to day stuff easier, yeah, but once you have enough for that, what's the point?
Okay, listen. My way of making the bed is to tear everything off and then throw everything back, just a little straighter. There's really no point to tucking things in. I'm just going to tear them out again tonight, right?
Anyway, it's cold so I've got extra blankets on the bed. And I say to Teddie, wow, look at all the blankets, we're rich!
And it's TRUE!
We're cold. We have blankets to put on the bed. We have what we need not just to survive, but to be comfortable. We are freaking RICH!
I don't like to have a lot of extraneous stuff around. Books, yes, but that's really it. If I buy something, I give it a year. If I'm not using it by then, pretty clear not going to use it at all.
What's the answer? Take it to a thrift store!
Okay, my whole point here is LESS STUFF. You're just going to throw it away when it breaks or gets old or you get tired of it. One more thing rotting away in a landfill; or not, as the case may be.
Don't even get me started on people who are too freaking lazy to drop their discards off at the thrift store, or have the Salvation Army come get their old sofas or whatever. Whole other rant there.
