Topanga Canyon

The five years I was with Zendik Farm, we moved a lot. A LOT. The first place, though, was in Topanga Canyon, which is a little outside L.A. A beautiful place. It was full of people, men, women, children. I wasn't comfortable with them, but that wasn't unusual. At that time, I wasn't comfortable with anyone. I am as solitary now as I was then. I just don't mind being around people, for the most part.

We lived in a big two story house, if I recall correctly. It was old, but beautiful. The main part of the group lived there. Arol and Wolf and the kids and a couple of adults to take care of them were living somewhere else, can't remember, might have been San Diego, or the desert. Wolf's health was never good, so they tended to move him around some.

In the beginning, I did my usual thing of bragging and pretending to be more comfortable, more sophisticated, more experienced, more everything than I really am. I was completely at the end of my rope. I needed them to accept me because I couldn't hack it anywhere else.

Don't know why he's clothed in the shower, and don't care.
