Sentimentality

I have a strong tendency towards sentimentality when I write. I am trying to be very careful about that. Not in the first couple of drafts, cause when you edit too hard at that stage, nothing gets on the paper. But after that, yes. I don't want goop on the paper. And definitely not on the final draft. Hope that wasn't goopy.
