Wulf Zendik was a writer. A novelist. A poet. A philosopher. A good man. He had good ideas, strong ones, and he had the courage to live them.
Wulf gave Zen his name. I was not very stable at that time. Extremely unstable, in truth. I was very busy not taking responsibility for anything. I asked that Wulf name him. He named him Zen Wolfang.
Zen obviously comes from Zendik. Here is the definition of Zendik: "An atheist or unbeliever; name given in the East to those charged with disbelief of any revealed religion, or accused of magical heresies."
Simplified, it means one who follows his own path and doesn't believe what the masses believe simply because that's what the masses believe.
Wolfang is the name of Wulf's protagonist in a novel. I believe it was "Quest Among the Bewildered". The character was a man with strength of conviction, a man of character and strong beliefs, a man devoted to truth. A man who would always fight to follow the truth, regardless of consequences.
Wulf gave Zen this name so that he would have something to live up to. I have faith that he will, no matter what path he chooses to follow.
